In the first year of the degree course, you will receive a solid basic education in electrical engineering and electronics at the FHV. This offers you an excellent introduction to your study and vocational education - even if you have no relevant technical background. If you already have some relevant technical knowledge, you may be exempted from some parts of the first semester - and in some cases you may be able to directly access the second semester.
After completion of the 3rd semester, you will be employed by Ivoclar Vivadent and receive a regular income. The areas that you may work in will cover a large field of electrical engineering and electronics. During your study phases at the FHV, you will select an area of specialization that matches the dental industry - either electrical engineering or technical informatics. For more information, see the FHV website.
After you have successfully completed your dual studies - both your academic course at the FHV and your vocational training at ours - you will be well prepared for pursuing a career in electrical engineering.
You can apply for the dual study program in Electrical Engineering via the FHV. Send your completed application form, cover letter, curriculum vita, copies of your passport and certificate and a passport photograph to the FHV. Registration deadline is in spring.
